About Hardy
HARDY, born Michael Wilson Hardy, is an American country music singer-songwriter. Not only is he a stunning performer, but he’s also a songwriter who’s written songs for Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, Dallas Smith, Thomas Rhett, and Morgan Wallen.
His love of music began early in life as he often listened to music with his father. This led to his time at Neshoba Central High School in Philadelphia, when he wrote his first song to impress a girl. He then went on to attend Middle Tennessee State University where he got his degree in Songwriting.
Then, after graduation, he took a trip to Nashville to visit his sister which led to the start of his career. Because while in Nashville, he realized that he could turn his love of Country music into a career. A friend introduced him to Florida Georgia Line in 2012, which was the start of his career.
He moved to Nashville after that and became a songwriter, starting as a writing partner for Florida Georgia Line where he wrote several of the group’s most successful songs. So HARDY was then signed on to Big Loud Records in 2018.
Today, HARDY is a frequent award-nominee including two Academy of Country Music Award nominations in 2020. This includes a nomination for “Song of the Year” for Blake Shelton’s “Gods Country” that HARDY co-wrote, as well as Songwriter of the Year. Then in 2021 he received three nominations for New Male Artist, Songwriter of the Year, and Music Event of the Year.
